Client guide to the use of teamviewer

Steps to be taken by the client to use teamviewer.

·      When prompted by the techpal via the chat to open Teamviewer, the client may do this by clicking on the link “Get Teamviewer”

·      After clicking the link, a prompt will appear on the screen inviting the client to open the TeamViewer application

·      Upon opening the TeamViewer application, a message will appear “wait until your partner joins the session”

·      The “partner” in this case is the techpal who should be connecting with the client momentarily

·      Upon connecting with the client, there are several ways he/she can possibly interact with the client to resolve the potential issue, these may include;

o   Video Conferencing

o   Instant Messaging

o   Screen Sharing

o   Remote Control

o   Or a combination of the above

·      When the problem is resolved using one of the aforementioned methods, the client can end the session by logging out of TeamViewer

·      It should be noted, that logging out of TeamViewer does not end the ongoing Techpal session, which would need to be ended separately.

·      While logging out of the Techpal session, would log you out of Teamviewer; the opposite does not apply; i.e. logging out of Teamviewer does not end the Techpal session

·      Additionally, if any party ends the Techpal session, that ends the session for both parties
